What was it really like to walk with Jesus on those dusty roads back then?

Quotes On Jesus You may never heard of …

“How would telling people to be nice to one another get a man crucified? What government would execute Mister Rogers or Captain Kangaroo?” – Phillip Yancey

“He was not at all like the psychologist’s picture of the integrated, balanced, adjusted, happily married, employed, popular citizen. You can’t really be very well ‘adjusted’ to your world if it says you ‘have a devil’ and ends by nailing you up naked to a stake of wood.”

– C.S. Lewis What was it really like to walk with Jesus on those dusty roads back then?

One Response to “What was it really like to walk with Jesus on those dusty roads back then?”

  1. In a world where all morality stemmed from God, Jesus taught people to value virtues for their own sake, to have kindness and love because they were good things, not just because they were told to. It was a message that has since come to define western society. We take these things for granted, this humanistic compassion and sense of virtue, but to them, it was as much a heresy as Galileo teaching that Earth revolved around the Sun. We look back now and think that only evil people could do this, but many of them surely believed they were doing the right thing.
